Question about Discount Tickets

Sorry if this isn't really allowed, just a question. My aunt just called me asking if I knew how to acquire some discount tickets, and I know of broadwaybox.com and playbill.com but their codes all expire in July... she wants for September. Should she just wait till August/Sept to check those sites again? Or are there sites that have presale cheaper tickets now?

Shows she specifically wanted were 'Ave Q', 'Spelling Bee', 'Light In The Piazza' and 'The Pillowman'.

Thanks if you guys can help, sorry if this is in the wrong board or whatever.

The problem with trying to get discount tickets is that it's not always reliable when you will get them. Most of the time you have to wait till close to the show date to get any sort of discount (or the day of, really). You should try again later, but even then, remember that it's not a guarantee that discount tix will be available.

Don't be surprised if you have to TKTS it :0)

Avenue Q, if you sign up for their newsletter, they'll send you specialized discounted days..other than that I don't think it's on TKTS..it's still quite a good selling show. You need to see Q though :) Any seat is good in that theatre..so even the 46$ rear mezz seats are well worth it :)

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

Totally; I saw Q in the very last row of the Mezz and could see and hear just fine. Good call girlfortartaglia.

Ooh awesome! Glad you got to see it..see it again! hehe
I sat Rear Mezz Row D my first time..My second time I had Rear Mezz Row D tix again, but I won the lotto!!! Row BB! (there's no AA so it was the first row!! ) Definately try the lotto! but I bet you knew that already lol. It's AMAZING that close up. I've sat up really close for other shows, but that by far blew all others away!!

Also, I do believe on BroadwayBox, The Pillowman has discounts currently..I don't know when they expire, but you should check it out! (either Box or Theatremania.com)

Go to theatremania.com. They have a pretty big selection, and I use them a lot.
