Question about Etiquette

As long as you are considerate of this person then I think you SHOULD say something. After all, everyone enjoys a compliment. Just make sure you don't go crazy and start asking ridiculous questions or drawing attention to him. I agree that waiting until after the performance and not springing it on him at intermission is an appropriate way to go.
It's rare that you get to talk to someone who you admire so why not take a chance!

Wow, really?
What number am I thinking of?
No, really, I'd like to know. You obviously know everything I'm thinking, I'm curious to see how far this ability goes. :3

I'm not shy at all normally-- I'm the first person to introduce myself when I'm in a room full of people I don't know-- but the first time I met someone I knew online, I felt horribly nervous about going up and saying, "Hi, I'm that kid named Schmerg_The_Impaler." And I turn into a blibbering wreck around celebrities.
