Is she noticeably pregnant? It sounds like she is.
So, does the scene take on a new dynamic, with an obviously pregnant woman drinking away in a bar on Christmas, trying to pick up men? Does she work it into her character or just ignore it?
I'm curious how the scene plays now.

Thanks, everyone!
If she was showing, it might have been interesting to see her work it in to the character.

Posted: 8/30/10 at 7:43pmI assumed the choice of early October as her final performance was deliberately made so she wasn't visibly pregnant while playing a drunken barfly.

Plus, anyone who has seen the show is quite aware that her dance sequence IS quite physical. Modifying it from its original form would be a disgrace. She's leaving in a little over a month -- right before this would have had to be done.
By the way... Chita Rivera played Anita in the original Broadway production of WEST SIDE STORY till she was 5 months pregnant -- and yes (per Chita), the choreography was not modified at all for her due to this.
