Question about going to shows on "Tonys weekend"#1

We might be in NY on June 13 and 14.....being that it's the weekend of the TONYS, do a lot of leads miss shows to rest their voices (if they are performing) or to go to parties, etc?

What can I expect?

I saw COMPANY the day of the TONYS last year and nobody was out. I think you can expect the same at other shows.

I was there for the 2006 Tony Awards and saw shows that weekend. Nobody was out. I don't think they miss shows because of the awards.

The only time I've heard of someone being out Tony weekend was Ebersole last year, and that's because she was ill.

I think that most shows A are going on and B the actors don't usually miss performances on TONY night espically if they are actors who got noms.


I know that the TONYS are on a sunday night and that there are performances the afternoon of the show.
