No.
There is no apostrophe in "Tonys" just as there isn't for "Oscars," "Grammys" or "Emmys," unless one is using the possessive form as in "The Tonys' all time leader in wins is Hal Prince with 21."

Last year tickets sold out within half an hour (or was it an hour?).
Be prepared!

Posted: 12/26/06 at 10:43pmJust a quibble - wouldn't it only be Tonys' if it were called the "Tonys Awards?" By logic (which wasn't included when creating the English language), since they're the Tony Awards, the plural would be Tony's....or Tonies.

When does "'s" make something plural?
"Tony" in this instance is a Proper Name and to pluralize a Proper name you add an "s" not an "'s"
If your next door neighbors were named "Smith" you could also refer to them as "The Smiths" not "The Smith's" (unless it was possessive, as in "I'm ging to go over to the Smith's and borrow their lawnmower."
If you were referring to the Pulitzer Prize, it would be "Pulitzers" not "Pulitzer's" unless you were using the possessive form.

Posted: 12/27/06 at 10:55amMy ticket for this year's show was given to me as a gift. I was told that it was a $200.00 ticket. 1st Mezz. the person that gave it to me has connections. My ticket came in an official green envelope with the Tony seal on it, etc. and the ticket was silver. If you go, make sure to keep your ticket stub with you at ALL times. It is the only way to get your official Playbill for the evening. I had mine checked a few times during breaks when I left my seat. Also, they confiscate cameras. It was amazing how many cameras they took. I had a card with security info in my ticket envelope. I am sure they must include something with all of the tickets. We were so glad we didn't take one because the line to get them back was pretty long and we would have missed walking out with the stars! Also, arrive early.
