Questions about the TKTS booths

The main TKTS booth in Times Square opens at 3 p.m. (or 2 p.m. on Tuesdays) for evening performances. It opens in the morning, usually at 10 a.m., for matinees.

The one at Lincoln Center opens at noon, and the one at South Street Seaport opens at 11 a.m., and both also sell tickets for next-day matinees.

So my questions:

- If I'm buying tickets there on a Saturday, for a Saturday evening show, do I have to wait until 3 p.m. if I'm buying at Times Square?

- Am I correct in assuming that I can't buy Sunday matinee tickets at the Times Square TKTS booth on a Saturday?

- If I buy at at Lincoln Center or South Street Seaport, do I actually have an advantage over the Times Square folks for getting Saturday night tickets because I can purchase tickets earlier?

- At Lincoln Center or South Street Seaport, can I buy Sunday matinee tickets too? Are there any disadvantages (i.e. limited availability or shows) when buying there?

Thanks in advance.
