I am getting South Pacific on amazon and want to get free shipping so I was thinking of buying A Catered Affair CD I don't know if I would Like the music though.. I am a fan of In The Heights and Rent type music though I like myself some classics. Do you think I would like the ACA soundtrack?
I think you'll like some of the songs, but like you said your taste is different so it won't be your most played on itunes.
It's supposed to be boring and forgettable.
Yet you haven't heard it Drunk Chita? Hmmm.
Personally, I love the score but if you are only interested in Rent type music you will probably not appreciate A Catered Affair, IMO.
Well I enjoy South Pacific, Damn Yankees, but not as much as In the Heights type music.
Well, maybe you should try it then. It's very different than any of the classics as well.
It's unlike any other score, the way it flows so seamlessly in and out of the book. It is not a lively score by any means, but, subtle and beautiful IMO.
But it can seem quite difficult to "get" for the average listener...but if you are a musicalmaster, you should listen to everything.
Yet you haven't heard it Drunk Chita? Hmmm.
That's why I said it's supposed to be... I didn't say it is.
Oh, ok. (You should see it, Drunk Chita, it's really quite wonderful!)
Listen to some of Buchinno's other work.
I find his style very moving and he has a distinct musical voice that is all his own.
There is no A Catered Affair soundtrack.
His GRATEFUL CD is an obsession of mine right now.
hehehe Blax..I'm so sick of correcting people about the difference between a soundtrack and cast recording, i sound like a, well, broken record...
The Catered Affair has a soundtrack, though.
True, true, but Faith doesn't sound near as good on it...
