Hello!

I know that the musical opened the other night at the workshop, but have not really heard anything about it. To anyone on here who has seen the production, can you please give your thoughts?

As a follow-up: What does the Playbill look like? I'm dying to see the cover art!

Best,

There was some discussion about this show:

I saw this tonight and really loved it. It's very strange, surrealistic in parts, beautifully rendered. I think it captured the essence of Poe in those last days. Amazing performances all around, with very haunting (literally) choreography. My one quibble is that the play shifts tonally from time to time, and that tended to bring me out of the story. Other than that, I thought this is an extremely effective and evocative piece of theater and I really enjoyed it.

Awesome, awesome!

Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to catch this one. Could I trouble you for a pic of the Playbill?

Imaginatively staged, but uninvolving. Ultimately, it fails to hold one's interest or attention, and makes a fascinating subject dull. I did like the musicalization of The Bells.

Neat staging, I was bored after about 10 minutes. The longest 90 minutes show I have seen in a long time.
