REMINDER: A CHRISTMAS CAROL - THE MUSICAL on TV tonight!!

Tonight at 9pm EST on NBC, A CHRISTMAS CAROL - THE MUSICAL airs. It stars Kelsey Grammar as "Scrooge."

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I just want to see how hysterical its going to be. Its a tough call as to which is funnier: housewives, or casting directors putting Kelsey as Scrooge. Love him, but BAD choice.

Maybe it is the same casting director who so poorly miscast ABC's THE MUSIC MAN remake.

So true Priest! It was a shame too--all of them in that movie are great...just COMPLETELY wrong roles! Like obviously wrong roles! Oy...don't get me started...made for T.V. musicals are not my friends.

Made for T.V. musicals COULD be great.

If they wanted to use Broderick so badly they could have done a H2$ remake. And then to really bring in the ratings cast Megan Mullally. i mean she did well in the revival opposite Broderick.

But in THE MSUIC MAN people keep saying that Broderick was atrocious. But I think he did as good a job as possible in a role he should never have played.

Because I'm the ONLY one who does NOT watch Desperate Housewives, my TV's gonna be on NBC tonight!!

I'm recording Housewives AND Carol, but watching Carol live. 'Cause I want to support musicals on TV! Because this is a good thing, in one way or another for our community.

Looking forward to it! Link by link.

Its not great, but its not awful either. Some of the songs are a tad irritating. I kinda feel like its Oliver! at Christmastime.
And whoa the hair on Jennifer Love Hewitt!

This isn't Susan Stohman's choreography is it? Fezziwig's ball was much more imaginative on stage.

I suffered through Kelsey Grammar's Macbeth. This is decent by comparison.
