yes, this is the very successful MSG version that was orig. directed by Mike Ockrent and choreo. by Susan Stroman. This TV version is dir. by Arthur Allan Seidelman, with choreography by Dan Siretta.

What's wrong with this picture when Jennifer Love Hewitt and her twins are coming off better than the rest of the cast?

Anyone watching L&O:CI?

This is one of the most panifully god-awful things I've ever had the poor judgement to subject myself to. What garbage! A Christmas Carol is one of my most favorite stories. THIS IS ATROCIOUS! Every print should be burned immediately! I HATE everything about it. From the casting to the music to the book to the direction. What a horrible mess! Bah Humbug!

On the bright side, Scrooge's nephew is quite the cutie.

Worse. It's beyond words. But it's like a car wreck. You just can't stop watching.

I was thrilled to see Ruthie Henshall as Scrooge's mother, and was that Linzi Hately as Mrs. Cratchit? Woo Ruthie! and Jesse L. Martin is fabulous.:)

...although im sad to think that after this movie, there could possibly be Jennifer Love Hewitt as Elphaba posts. Grr.
There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a -1. And I'm not trying to be funny. What a disaster!

i really liked it too -- but i loved the stage version too - going to see it was a yearly tradition for me -i'm not saying it's the best musical of all time or anything, but i loved that they stayed so true to the stage version!!!

During the graveyard scene, did the graveyard look suspiciously like the graveyard from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF dream sequence to anyone else?

It looked identical.
