What time is the last performance?

Hopefully all of the posts about it for today can be kept in this thread, but I am very sad to see it go. I think its time has come, it had an amazing run, it is one of the milestones of musical theater, and it's a phenomenon that can't be ignored.

Goodbye, RENT. You've truly changed Broadway forever.

Lots of special performances start at that time. LIke Opening nights and stuff, it's going to be a "special" performance.

I'm so sad to see this show go. I have a real passion for it. I know it will live on and will, no doubt, experience a revival one day, but the end of any positive era is a loss.

I wonder if Jon Larson's family ever sees this site??? If yes, I would like to say thank you for continuing his remarkable vision and for authorizing and supporting the movie version. Also, to the orginal cast and to Tracey Thoms and Rosario Dawson, you have left your mark on musical theater. You should take pride in your performances and the impact you had on the theater and the lives of those who saw your work.

As one who appreciates the message and the method, I remain your ardent admirer.

I fixed the title (because rent doesn't really have a curtain)
