re: RENT Advance Screening

That's a good question. I'm not sure how many people knew about this up until now. I don't know whether to expect a mob scene or not.

re: RENT Advance Screening

quick! delete your post, that way we limit the competition!

re: RENT Advance Screening

Oh crap, I'll be at SWIWS!!!! If anyone gets tickets, please bring me as your guest!

re: RENT Advance Screening

Well zzanahk, I debated a little bit before posting this, but I didn't want a bunch of bored east side Bloomies shoppers watching an advance screening with me.

re: RENT Advance Screening

i was kidding, i would prefer bww-ers over regular shoppers.

my plan:

2nd floor at noon, and just ask if i can have them or if i have to wait and then just sit there, unless they make me leave, that would suck

re: RENT Advance Screening

By saying that the certificates are available all day, does that mean tickets are also available? Do you have to buy something (as in, be in the first 100 people in the checkout line) in order to get the tickets? Cuz I can't afford to buy a little black whatever from Bloomies!

re: RENT Advance Screening

it says guests, so i'm assuming the first 100 into the Y.E.S.
Second Floor section at 6

re: RENT Advance Screening

It sounds to me like they won't be giving them out until 6pm. I wouldn't necessarily give up if you can't get there until 5 or so.
#14

re: RENT Advance Screening

i just dont want to travel all the ways there, over 2 hours and get there too late
#15

re: RENT Advance Screening

I don't think you need to purchase anything to get the tickets, and definitely not to enter the lottery to go to the premiere.
#16

re: RENT Advance Screening

Why would they give away airline tickets to NY when probably all the people signing up there are FROM NY
#17

re: RENT Advance Screening

Oh what a waste for all the locals to be there and no one to take advantage of the round trip vacation to NY for the premiere!*

*Someone enter under my name and I'll let you crash with me at the hotel and go to the premiere? Pretty please?

re: RENT Advance Screening

that part of the promotion might be at all bloomingdales store, not just ny

re: RENT Advance Screening

I just checked and you're correct, at least for some of them. So the good news for all the out-of-towners with a Bloomingdale's nearby is that you may be able to enter the lottery too.

re: RENT Advance Screening

Oooh, I hope so. Very nice (brave? stupid?) of Chloe to post this for all to see! A lesser person (such as myself) would've waited until Oct. 21 and started a thread saying, "Just got back from this nifty Rent promo at Bloomie's..." re: RENT Advance Screening I would probably get there around 5, scope the area and be one of the first in-line for advanced screening tickets.

re: RENT Advance Screening

Probably all of the above. Not that I didn't think about it either. Here's the funny thing. I found this on CB tonight, kind of buried in their thread about the window display. They're so strict about not starting new threads for every little thing.

re: RENT Advance Screening

does anyone else think it's strange that these things aren't listed on the site, under promotions??

it still says "coming soon"

re: RENT Advance Screening

Tomorrow is blog day. Maybe it'll go up then. I'm sure they'll get to it. They haven't exactly failed us thusfar.

re: RENT Advance Screening

they havent posted about the 25th yet either, you would think they would want fans there instead of just shoppers
#25

re: RENT Advance Screening

Actually, maybe not. Maybe they want to get the word out to people who aren't already freaking out over it -- this may not really be for the fans as much as it's a marketing/publicity tactic. There are two types of success they're looking for with this movie: one being to make the fans happy, and the other being to get notice, and to spread awareness and love of the work. It needs attention that's not from people who already love the material. I know someone who used to get offers for tickets to advanced screenings for a lot of movies, but they were always offered up sort of randomly. Maybe this is something like that.
