re: RENT Advance Screening

You're probably right, Emcee, in which case I've kind of spoiled it for them. Too bad!

I'm so there. Ten blocks from my house? You bet I'm getting up early! If I have time, I'll go to Bloomies tomorrow and find out more info.

re: RENT Advance Screening

So I got my tickets tonight - the screening is on the 22nd, so not very much in advance at all, but it'll be fun to see it with a bunch of other fans, and for free!

Anyone else get tickets?

re: RENT Advance Screening

Great! Is it at a theater on 64th and 2nd? Because it occurred to me that there might be more than one screening.

re: RENT Advance Screening

I did! I'm excited but the event was very poorly organized. I got there at 4:30 was third, I was a little surprised.

Chloe, were you anywhere near the front of the line that I might have unknowingly talked to you?

re: RENT Advance Screening

This is a little off topic, but is there definitely going to be a midnight showing of rent on that tuesday night? My friend wants to make plans to come in and I've never been to a midnight movie opening before so I dont know how that works.

re: RENT Advance Screening

When it gets closer, I'm sure you'll be able to look up where it's showing when on Fandango.com, or something.

re: RENT Advance Screening

I was towards the back, probably among the last twenty to get tickets. I got there around quarter to six - I'm not too fond of department stores, so took a chance on the fact that there wasn't very much publicity for this. (I notice that we all cleverly avoided bumping this thread after the night it was posted.)

I entered the premiere lottery too, which was kind of hard to find, back in another department. That's going to be quite a long shot, and I hesitated a little, realizing that what I'm probably going to get out of it is a lot of Bloomingdale's junk mail.

re: RENT Advance Screening

Ha Chloe...yeah I was thinking of putting that I'm getting there around 4, but yeah kinda wanted to avoid bumping...but yeah I was very surprised that I was the third person there at 4:30, but glad you got tickets esp. since I heard like at least the person who was 67th didn't get tickets, that's why I said very disorganized.

Liotte and I entered the premiere lotto too quite a few times, no restrictions.

re: RENT Advance Screening

I never thought of that - good luck!

Emcee, you're right, our avs were very similar, though if you want to go back to your previous one (which I really love) I'll change mine. The new one is wonderful, though.
