Why wouldn't it? RENT deserves to be covered by Hollywood.

If you all are just gonna sit and nitpick the scenic design of the Life Cafe and not appreciate the fact that they are making the movie version of one of the greatest modern Broadway musicals with most of the ORIGINAL CAST, then.....
I cry Shenanigans!
ugh, I'm so antsy. Just saw SoL on the preview got chills.
Honestly, I used to be one of those who was ready to tear the little details apart - which costumes were the same, what looked exactly "right" as I would've done it myself. A lot of things and special people have made me realize that it's about how hard they're working to capture the overall essence, and how much they're succeeding. This movie's going to be beautiful.
You think just because it's a musical and has no real movie starts that it's gonna be neglected?
All films receive promotion from the media. All feature films, anyway.
RENT already has a huge fanbase, is a Tony-winning and Pulizter-winning hit Broadway show. It'll get much more.
I predict much acclaim and controversy for the film.
No, I am saying it is colorful - it's a fact.
I think it looks cool, though.
It's funny that MArk gets his bway costume, but the rest don't. NOT NITPICKING....just saying, it's funny

thank you singingback
I think the critics will trash it, but I certainly appreciate the effort to preserve the original integrity of the Broadway production and message.
