"Anyone else think that LVB sounds and looks too slow? Even so, I hyperventilated every time they showed teaser clips and the actual segment."
Sometimes they film things slower than they are going to actually have it. The audio is slowed so that they can get the lip-syching/movements accurate, but then they speed it up in the editing.
I don't want to admit how many times I re-watched my tape of Access Hollywood last night. Actually, I can't admit because I lost count. I even watched the whole segment in slow motion. Yes, I have reached the level of obsessiveness.
I think my heart stopped when they mentioned the pop stars they were originally thinking of casting. Ew, I think I would have cried if that happened.
I didn't think Adam came off as cocky when he said "Thank God for me"- I interpreted it as him not wanting diss Justin on national TV. Because the way Billy Bush had started the quote by saying "Thank God!" made it sound negative from the start, so I think Adam could have been trying to back away from the negative, but still responding to his comment.
Other thoughts: I squealed when I realized that Anthony was wearing the Mark sweater. I WANT Idina's shirt- she looked absolutely gorgeous! My sister's reaction? "She looks different when she's not green." Everyone looked HOT. I just wish they had talked to Tracie and Wilson as well, they were the only principal cast members that they didn't show talking.
I feel bad for saying this, but I like Angel's Broadway outfit better- the jacket just looked so bulky compared to the fishnet shirt.

I watched the RENT part over and over and over again as well. My older brother came in as I was replaying it and he said "Ew, your watching RENT? It's the stupidest show EVER. And will be the stupidest movie EVER." he just says that to piss me off and because he knows I love the show and watched that part of Access too many times.
I'm SO glad that they didn't cast those pop stars. RENT wouldn't be the same. Too bad Jesse had to leave 'Law & Order' though.
I like Angel's broadway outfit more than the big screen one as well. But if it must be done, it must be done.

If anyone got it to their computer... please send to me!!
PLEASE???
I missed it...Just PM me...thank you so much!!
Rice your back! Maybe I'm just completely unobservative but I haven't seen you around here in a long time! :-P
Yeah today was my RENT day (Even though it aired last night, last night was the CSI finale so it was CSI day for me) and for the sake of not wanting people to worry about my mental stability, I don't think I'll admit how many times I watched that clip. :-P I just couldn't get enough of it. Aghh so excited!

Yeah Rice where you've been? It seems like you haven't posted forever.
I think I'll watch it again. I'll probably watch it over and over until the movie comes out.
Oy Vey, the movie! When that comes out, I will probably be at the theatre every day for the first month. :-P Just to absorb it and commit it all to memory for the long DVD wait. And that, my friends, is the sad truth of the extent of my love for RENT. :-P Better start saving up money for tickets.........

My mom made me promise to only see it once because it'll be rated R and I may be "wasting money" How is seeing RENT wasting money? It's RENT!
Yeah really. RENT is well worth the money. That's a thing though, since it's rated R and I'm under 18 I'll probably have to be careful about how many times I see it at the same theatre or where I see it. There's only so many ways to sneak in without them starting to get suspicious. :-/

FYI, if it hasn't been pointed out yet, you can see the Access Hollywood clip if you go to www.forget-regret.net.
You may have to download the DivX thing, but it's no big deal, I just did and I am so glad!
It's....simply beautiful.
And Rosario Dawson looks more like what I think Mimi is then anyone...dare I say Daphne? Just my opinion.

reserving my Rosario judgement until the film opens..she's looking promising.
:)
I'm sure Rosario will be good..BUT I wish her hair was more "mimi-fied" it's too flat.
I've watched this like 598 times now..I can't wait!
Does anyone else think it's funny that the guy who interviewed (billy? was that it?) said something about "Jazz hands" at the beginning? cuz RENT is really a jazz hands kinda of a show...ha
I thought the same thing! Billy Bush mentioned getting his jazz hands ready, and I said out loud "There are no jazz hands in Rent!" I mean, they could have at least made him go INTO the Nederlander and see the show before attempting to give an informed interview with the cast members. This wouldn't have bothered me so much if they didn't actually show him standing outside the theater at the beginning of the segment.
And as long as glitter ends up in Rosario's hair, I don't have a problem with it.
Yeah I'm going to keep my "Rosario as Mimi" review until I see the movie and all of her scenes etc but I'll say that I am very optimistic about her performance both as Mimi and as an actress in general. I'm really very happy with their decisions. I'm not sure if I'll ever like anyone better then Daphne but she is certainly promising.

I think Billy's "jazz hands" comment was cute and funny, and perhaps a tip to "Chicago", another stage musical made into a movie.
