But if they're keeping me waiting until November I'm going to get so impatient and just find out everything!
Actually, I'm hoping for very few surprises in terms of storyline. I like that it's close to the libretto. I was a big fan of some of the original tweaks, like the flashbacks and stuff, but the major changes... eh.
Roll on, November.

November can't come fast enough
from reading Chbosky's 2000 draft and Columbus' basic 2004 draft (you know things have been changed since then) and reading Anthony's updates...It seems like this film is going to be exactly what we, the fans, wanted. Its going to have everything, intrigue, romance, mystery, sex, drugs, etc. Throw Adam in a nude scene and we are set for life
I'm ready to be suprised in the theater while watching the final results...235 days...

If anyone has seen "Meet the Fockers" I think you would understand. They say the f*** in that and there is brief nudity and sex and stuff.

Yes, but factor in the drugs. Mimi is basically drugged out when she's singing Without You, and it's kind of obvious. It's a totally different kind of situation than Meet the Fockers. I'd be VERY surprised if it wasn't R.

Posted: 3/20/05 at 1:18pmGood point. But I had "DARE" when I was 10 yrs. old though. I guess I will just have to let it be rated what MPAA wants it to be rated. I am just trying to make up as many excuses I can, like always! :)

Posted: 3/20/05 at 1:23pmWhatever the rating people who want to see the movie will see it.

Rated 'R' hardly keeps younger kids out.
That being said. It will be rated R.

I had DARE when I was like twelve. What's that got to do with the rating of the movie? I don't see many movies, but that certainly never kept me from seeing things with drug references.
My point was that even though a movie like Meet the Fockers has similar categories of "bad" stuff, it's about comedy and making light of the subject matters like profanity and sex. Rent definitely isn't about making light of anything - hopefully it'll be as realistic as possible. That's going to make for an R rating.

Posted: 3/20/05 at 1:38pmyea, i'm pretty sure it might be an R rating coz of references to drugs, sex, and all that good stuff. But I don't think that will change peoples' minds who still would want to see it.

Posted: 3/20/05 at 2:04pmYeah, I would be shocked if it got a PG-13 rating. But its not like an R rating will keep RENTheads under 18 from going to see it anyways. *cough*. :-P
re: RENT Movie question#36
Posted: 3/20/05 at 2:46pmR ratings aren't that big of a deal... you can either sneak in or you can have an older friend/parent to buy the ticket for you. Your friends can still watch the movie, and if you are a true fan, nothing will stop you from seeing it anyway. {I actually think someone already mentioned that}
