This sounds like hell. If it weren't a singalong, I'd be game! Would love to hear some of these folks sing these songs -- but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to over the din.

Yeah-- I'm not a fan of the sing-a-long aspect either, but I am excited about the lineup. I live close-by and can think of worse ways to spend 90 minutes on a Sunday morning.

I think this actually sounds pretty fun. My favorite ever viewing of RENT was watching the movie (I know, it was pretty terrible but it was what we had access to) with 10 or 12 of my friends crammed into the dorm room of our hallmate who had a big TV and DVD player and everyone singing along to the entire score.

I think it sounds like fun.  I'm always late to the party.  Just looked at the Vulture schedule and noticed NPRs Pop culture happy hour is going to be there.  I've been listening to them forever.  It's my favorite podcast.  How didn't I know??? Grrr. So upset. Would have been a nice double feature.
