Are you kidding me with this, BwayStar? Just knock it off because it's totally not funny or clever in the least.

It's not horrible. It's not a masterpiece either.

And please--it isn't the desk's fault.

Hey BwayStar, here's a thought: Get over it. I mean, really, this is pointless. No one CARES about your opinion after what you've made in the OTHER thread you started. Just let the thread die.

I realize I'm bumping the thread by saying anything but....
I've seen posts go completely unnoticed or ignored, even good ones; so I'm a little confused why this guy always manages to get a successful thread. Save yourselves the frustration and typing effort, not to mention your desks, and don't respond.

I'm not even joking one little bit here about the following TRUE story about myself...but the bitch that started this post needs to wake up.
ANYWAY, here is how RENT was amazing.
RENT changed me life. I had recently been infected with strong depression. I was planning to kill myself. The therapist was worried about me. I reluctantly saw RENT. I cryed through the entire end of the movie. It touched me.
Now I have no plans of killing myself and I do not have depression anymore as far as the doctors are concerned.
Rent cured me and saved me life. I now live my life according to "give in to love or life is yours to miss" and "no day but today".
Jonathan Larson was a true genius.
The movie was genius.
It saved my life. Please do not bash it.

I actually did...the music was amazing but the message was put across better in the movie I think...but I saw the show before I was depressed so I don't know if it would've affected me in the same way as the movie.

I've always felt that when I'm going through a tough time, the words of RENT always help me get threw. Certain lines like "forget regret" or "i trust my soul, my only goal is just to be", or "measure your life in love" "no day but today", and i could go on, are like little philosiphys i try to live by, and I think thats pretty cool that a show can effect people like that.

I knoww! People who don't understand RENT's message just don't understand life. Most people that don't know RENT probably don't understand its messages that are so important to living life. Sometimes when people give you s**t, you just have to realize they live in fear, and that they don't give in to love. ("give in to love, or live in fear")

wow, gotta love a good threadjack lol
No_Day, I understand your story and can relate. RENT has helped me since I first heard it 6 years ago, and more times than I can count, has refocused me on the important things in life. I fight depression every day, but I muddle through and RENT is part of that. Like xM said, RENT has vast amounts of little philosophies to live by.
