RENT movie

I read on playbill.com a month or so ago that said that the RENT movie is greenlit and Christopher Columbus (Harry Potter, Mrs. Doubtfire, etc.) is directing. Ok....I would love to see a RENT movie, but I was thinking about it, and I really don't see how they would do it without adding WAY too much into the script than what they use for the show. I mean, the set is so miniplistic (sp?) that everything just flows together without any set changes. You can't do that in a movie, so they will have to add dialogue or whatever to get characters from point A to point B. Plus, they will probably have to change things to make it more politicaly correct. What does everyone else think about this?
