RENT movie question

when they say the original Broadway cast, are the ensemble members reprising their roles as well? If not, how did they determine who would?

I read something about this somewhere...I wish I remembered where. But if you can find an OBC cast list and the movie cast list you can compare. I *think* some OBC Ensamble members are there, but don't take my word for it. Wow-- I don't think that was much help, lol.

I haven't heard anything about the ensemble members being involved in the film.

I dont think so but how funny will Sarah Silverman be as Alexi Darling. Now she and Adam will have two movies together!

I don't think the woman who plays Alexi Darling is the same...

Yasmin Alers had something on her site about appearing in one scene, so maybe we're going to be surprised by some cameos.
