Does touring RENT also do STUDENT RUSH TICKETS if so does anyone know how I may obtain them. I really wanna see the show and it start here tomorrow.
If you have seen this cast .....were they any good?
Thanks
Tyree Walker
Yes, this cast is good, and I, Thespian_Geek and CatsNYRevival (and camerangel, who takes pretty pictures) will shill about this cast and call them the best thing since processed cheese if you let us.
They have rush tickets, doesn't have to be students. Sold 2 hours before the show, usually a line-up format instead of lottery, but if you're in the States, these lineups seem to start either the night before, or early that morning.
Feel free to ask any other questions! This cast F*CKing ROCKS.

Nothing is better than processed cheese.
OUCH Tiff that really hurts! ( I guess since I really haven't been raving on this board though I can understand being left out)
I agree that this cast is F*cking awesome! To coin one of your favorite words.. hahaha
Did someone mention cheese?? mmmm
Er, what are you talking about, camerangel? I included you in my RENT TOUR SHILLS list.
And I have GOT to stop using the "f" word. And the "c" word. It's so...dirty!
You just keep making my day!! hehehe.. I feel so loved.. and you even say I take pretty pictures.. wow I'm sooo touched.. **blinks back a tear**
hahaha.. why would you want to change how you talk? it's always fun to shock and offend..

Add another name to the touring cast shill list. I have no shame.
I suggest calling your local theatre and asking about student tickets. Some theatre's offer discounts for students, although it's way more fun to sit in line all day for rush tickets.
::cannot wait untill December:: One Broadway, one tour show.
America...F*** YEAH!
I live in Alabama so I'm not exspecting a huge crowd........but I so can't wait to see this show........I missed it the last time it was here and my mom told me I should have went cause she heard it was good.
So you're seeing it tomorrow I assume? Post a detailed review!
I'm so so happy to hear that this cast is good. They will be here in Philly next month and I can't wait to see the show. I don't know about the RUSH tickets. Maybe I will catch a week night show and then decide to RUSH on the weekend if it's really that good.
Udjat, You might as well plan on rushing then.. This cast is beyond Awesome!
I was planning on heading down to philly next month for the show, but unfortunately I don't think funding will allow me..
Get ready to rush EARLY because if CB's any indication, the Bowlers will be out in full-force.
It's going to be a party.. Hopefully the rush lines will be full of fun people!
are you going??
My plan is the end of Philly like Saturday/Sunday and then onto Baltimore..
that would bed fab! are you staying for the whole baltimore run?
Much to the chagrin of my family yes.. hehe.. I'm so excited.. I'm going to Rush on Christmas.. I am however going alone.. so I'm really hoping to find some cool bww, and cb'ers there..
holy crap! thats like a week and a half! how do you have the money and the time??
Well I have a "day" that lets me pretty much do my theatre stuff.. I work for major technology company, We shut down every year at Christmas.. I also have a ton of vacation time.. As for affording it.. My job pays me well, and I am also currently stage managing Seussical for a youth theatre company and am getting paid decently for that.. Over all though I found some great travel prices online..
I am going to the Philadelphia one (and probably alone) Does anyone really know how the rush on tour works? I have never heard of a rush here in Philadelphia but I WANNA DO IT!!! Please post details from experience. Where would the lineup be around the merriam...it's not like NY...people don't really wait for tickets on the street around there...info?
It varies depending on the theatre and I cant say for certain how Philly will work, but they do the $20 tickets on sale 2 hours before each show. Limit two per person and you have to have the exact change. They may do first come first serve or a lotter. That is up to the theatre. Most of the time the theatre either doesn't have information or wont give out rush information more than a a few days to a week in advance of the show coming..
