Our friend just called from the RENT tour audition (males only) and he said it was PACKED. He was number 125 out of over 250 people. Next, the auditors typed casted the group. He said it was amusing to see all these pretty boys with huge smiles on their faces storm out of the room enraged when they were typed out. Then shortly after a woman came in and said they didn't have time to see anyone after the number 100, so please leave your headshot and resume. So he was slightly bummed out that he didn't get to sing today, but hopefully they'll call him.

they have auditions all the time for networks. I hate to see what tomorrow is going to be like oy.

RE: pretty boys being rejected after type casting; I always thought of Benny as kind of a pretty boy...are they not looking for a new Benny? Or was my perception just way off?
