If Shoshana Bean goes anywhere NEAR this award, I will have a hissy fit of biblical proportions.
AMEN.

just so you know, its Ben Vereen, i know I hate when people correct my spelling, but out of respect, i think it is appropriate, i still think you are an excellent poster, and agree with many of your views (just not this one)

It's excellent, not excellant.

Posted: 3/6/06 at 9:58pmThe reason they added the award so that when big names like Reba McIntyre, Harvey Fierstein or Betty Buckley come in and take over a role, essentially, or if a lesser known performer really makes heads turn by taking over a role. But when an annonymous face comes in a takes over and does a good job, that's not something they'll get the award for. Vanessa Williams for Spiderwoman, Phylicia Rashad for Into the Woods or Brooke Shields for Wonderful Town would be much more possible than Barrett Foa for Avenue Q (although he's FANTASTIC).
