I'm going to call it now: Their ticket sales will be through the roof this week.
The producers of Spider-man are having cocktails right now to thank Brantley and the rest of them for national (and front page) coverage.
Let's be honest with ourselves here, these guys are just trying to keep their jobs so they have to drum up controversy and story where they can. Let them scrape by.
"If they had only done it at the National with Michael Grandage directing with David Suchet and Sinead Cusack it would have been sooooo much better, hmmmn??"

Having seen the first preview of this show, it's fascinating to read these reviews...it doesn't seem anything has changed in two months.
My original prediction about this show still holds: It will run 2 years, and then close with the biggest loss in Broadway history.
OK, this is just horrible, but my favorite review line is officially from Scott Brown:
"The orchestra seating exists mainly to give us jeopardy (and a target) for the many flying people hurled overhead. Nervous? Don't worry, you're allowed to drink in the theater"
