I never got to eat at his restaurant (yet, hopefully), but I know he created one of the most iconic eateries right now in the Theatre District. Even for someone with no stage ambitions, he certainly knew how to attract the big names in the industry for many, many years. The famous "flop wall" remains a wonder to this day.

May he rest in peace. I hope his place makes it through the pandemic and his spirit will be kept alive.
