A massively influential, towering figure in 20th century theatre has passed away at 97. Not only did he have an incredibly long life and fruitful career, but he continued working nearly until the end of his life (his final production "Why?" played New York shortly before the pandemic).

I agree 100%. The fact that no one has commented Peter Brook's death proves that most people who post here know nothing about him.  On the other hand, they will endlessly posted about Funny Girl, Chicago, etc. Who the hell cares!

The West End is dimming its lights tonight in his memory, it would be a pity if Broadway didn't tribute him the same honour eventually
