Edgar Lansbury was responsible for producing GODSPELL's original incarnations (off Broadway, on Broadway, and on screen), his sister Angela's revival of GYPSY, THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES (stage & film), THE MAGIC SHOW, the original AMERICAN BUFFALO with Robert Duvall, LENNON, and James Ivory's THE WILD PARTY film.

He also designed and operated the Promenade Theatre on the UWS.
