re: buying TDF for that night's show: most of the time, on the TDF site, the tickets offered are for "tomorrow's" show, at the earliest. I haven't seen tickets offered for "today" much at all. [It's hard to check 'cause today's Monday.]
My recollection is that whenever I tried to find a TDF ticket for that same night, the earliest available was the next day.
songandanceman2, so what if the show made back its orginal investment on the tour and then some. Is it still considered a flop? And Sweeney Todd didn't recoup the first time it rean, but its one of the most successful shows ever in bwy history either, with a number of revivals all over the world and regional productions of it. Is Sweeney Todd a flop?
Looking at the Gross $$ report from last week (March 2 - 9), I can see why a lot of shows are on TDF. ROA has not even premiered yet so I would expect to see it on this list to help build the buzz.
Last week I tried to get a ticket for it but it was down very quickly. There is obvious interest in this show. It's going to do well.
