Putting in a good word for Run Bambi Run, playing in Milwaukee for a few more weeks and based on the shatbit-nuts true-crime saga of Laurie Bembenek. There are the usual things to say about a world-premiere production of a new musical--trim this, amplify that, etc--but there's pleasure in seeing an all-Wisconsinite writing team telling this story on their terms.
