Need some help, please. I'm planning on doing Rush for Beetlejuice on Friday, to get the tix for my niece who lives out of town. Assuming that I am lucky enough to get them, may I leave them at the box office for her under her name? I can no longer meet her before showtime. Thanks much for any assistance/advice!

Hi ScottK. Truthfully, perhaps the 105 people who viewed the post did NOT know the answer, and did not want to give you false information. If someone had replied with a simple “yes” and you counted on that being true, what would you have done on Friday if you tried to leave the tickets at the box office and the answer was, indeed, no? Do you have a backup plan? I’m guessing you wouldn’t appreciate misinformation.
Frankly, there really is no simple answer to this question. In my experience, box offices and their policies are sporadic and just because one box office does something does NOT mean that another will. That’s just a fact. Often, I even find some box offices unwilling to help in what you think would be such a simple situation like this one, but I’ve been burned before and I would not just assume that the box office staff will do what you ask of them.
Even if someone on here did have experience at this particular box office (1 out of 41 on Broadway, or hundreds of others in NYC) the staff member that you get on Friday at the window may say no. They may say yes. As I said, it’s really hard to tell and no way to answer definitively.
I, personally, would wait until Friday when you are in front of someone who is able to answer the question and then make arrangement. Unfortunately, there’s no way to know until you’re there because the box office does not have a public phone number to call and ask. If that’s not possible, Beetlejuice luckily has many affordable seats that you are able to purchase in advance and confidently leave at will call for someone else if that seems to be a safer option.
Either way, I wish you luck and hope this information helps!

Posted: 1/9/20 at 12:32amI know this sounds like a strange idea, but perhaps consider putting them in a bag and leaving it at a luggage storage place. It usually runs 10 dollars per bag and I’ve had to use several services to keep a suitcase for me while I’m in a show.

I believe you should be able to do so,but yes, ultimately it's up to discretion of whomever is working at the box office window at the moment.
The only time I've been told no was when I won Hamilton lotto and my friend was running late. I think in that case, the Richard Rogers doesn't allow lotto tickets to be left at will call to prevent resale
