Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

Has anyone seen her in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (now that Lucie is going to be out becuase of her knee)? How is she?

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

I saw Rachel when she was filling in before Lucie joined, and she was fine. A little young, and I can't remember and specifics about her performance, but I didn't have a problem with it.

I thought Rachel's character choice for Muriel was great! I loved her. great acting.

No, Lucie hurt her knee. She does not really know how, but it most likely has to do with being in DRS. But she shall return in a few weeks. She writes a really nice letter on her website explaining it. www.luciearnaz.com

Muriel is a fun character. Although no one will beat Joanna, I wish Rachel well as Lucie recovers re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

I'd love to hear some specifics about her portrayal.

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

I saw it in May with her as a part of my first Broadway show and I thought she did well.

When she first came out I was like "woah" cause her hair was purple which was interesting. I thought she sang beautifully and acted well. I agree that she seemed a little young, but other then that she was good!

Her hair was purple...?
I saw it in May as well and it was blonde. At least it looked blonde from the rear Mezz lol.

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

I saw Rachel back in September when Joanna was on vacation. I thought she was very good, but then again, I didn't see anyone else in the role.

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

I saw Rachel my third time. She was actually my favorite person in the role. She has a great voice and does a nice accent. She plays the part slightly different, but its still awesome. See her since you know shes on.

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

I've seen her twice, and she's fine. As for the hair color, it looks like that awful purplish shade of red that some women seem to get on their 40th birthday.

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

I've seen her quite a few times and she's great. Yes, a little young, but I remember I was really impressed with her voice the first time I saw her. She was great with Greg (who wouldn't be?), but I'm not sure I picture her with Kind.

I love Rachel DeBenedet's voice. If anyone does catch her as Muriel, please post reviews!

And if she's not wigged, she may have dyed her naturally blonde hair red and picked too strong a shade.

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

LOL re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS Yeah, I think it's hard to compare/relate to reviews if you have only seen one person in the role, don't you?

I have only seen my beloved Joanna... That's why I am so curious to hear about/see the differences in other Muriels re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS

She wears an awful wig when she plays Muriel. I've never been able to figure out why somebody thinks Muriel has to be a brunette. Rachel is blond and you can see the blond Rachel on any night that she's NOT playing Muriel. She's the lady in the blue dress at the beginning of the show - the one who first talks to Andre about the Prince. She's also the French lady on the train (wearing another wig) and the woman who walks through the hotel lobby and out the door - after Freddy tries to convince Lawrence that he's 'charminger'.
