I'm 90% sure that there is no CR for this production, unfortunately.

According to the Cast Album Database, there isn't one.

A cast recording was never made for this production. However, an edited version was videotaped 'in concert' with the same cast and broadcast on BBC4 in 2003. It has never been made available on DVD or video, but there are copies floating around.
There was also a 'making of' on BBC Radio 4 which recorded the leads singing some of the songs accompanied by a piano. Again, it has never been made available, but such material does exist...
The concert version is one of the worst things I have ever seen.
Whoever told Maria she could handle the part of Mother was poorly, poorly mistaken. The entire cast was very drab and boring.
Ragtime... great show. A great production... shame that Maria Friedman can't sing...!!
Or act.
Her version of Back to Before is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. And by funny I mean sad.
what was so bad about it?
i didn't see it. but i would imagine that she would be great.

Maria can sing, but she doesn't have the voice for Mother. She's more suited for Sondheim-esque shows. And I say this as a huge fan.
Friedman is so terrible in the role, she won an Olivier Award for it.

And what's her face won a Tony for what's it called, so....
