I think I'm going to have to see this --
"Amas Musical Theatre will present a benefit concert performance of the Tony Award-winning 1973 Broadway musical Raisin on Monday, October 25 at the John Houseman Theatre, located at 450 West 42nd Street......
The cast of the concert, which will be directed by Kevin Ramsey, will include Chuck Cooper, Lillias White, Norm Lewis, Kenita Miller, Venida Evans, and Tamara Tunie."

Posted: 8/23/04 at 9:27pmwow - what great news! That's one show I wish I had seen - I love the score (and just listened to it after reading this post). And what a cast - just saw Norm in Pittsburgh in "Dreamgirls" and am looking forward to seeing him and Lillias and everyone in "Hair" next month. Times like these I wish I had a job. And also thankful for my credit card which I try to use judiciously (but events like this make it difficult!).
