I was just listening to Nine and was thinking that Raul would be an amazing Guido. Does anyone else agree?

I never saw Nine, and I've only heard the recording a handful of times, but Raul as anything makes my life.

I could see it. Heck, if it happened, I *would* see it. I still think he should play Stanley in Street Car though.

Um....I would never say never, but I would rather not see Raul take on Guido. His voice isn't that good.

ETA- Actually I think his voice is plenty good enough for it. I mean, Stamos and Antonio arent' exactly the strongest of singers.

He can't sing that well! He can pull off a raspy, rock-ish score and light music, but nothing more. He sings completely incorrectly and will have NO voice in a few years. I can't see him as Guido...

See I think that he has greatly improved. I think he's grown a lot, vocally.

After CABARET, I would have said - yes, he did. After he screamed and grated in TABOO and HAIR, I think he took 100 steps back. He missed many TABOO performances because of his voice - he just yells.
And Antonio Banderas has an amazing voice...

Right. I didn't see him because of a bruised vocal chord. Not pretty.
He sounded fantastic over the summer, but he hadn't been singing much before that, so he was rested. I guess we'll see how he does in Chitty.

Even without an amazing voice, Raul is still in my mind, one of the best actors around today. He would be able to act the **** out of those songs

I know *nothing* about singing, but there is something about Raul's voice that is just incredible to me. I can hear the "screaming" but it just works somehow for him.
