The information was leaked wrong. The new Elphaba for 2007 will actually be Carol Channing.

What a wonderful line up...I think the best I have ever seen.

Not only is Patti taking over, but John Doyle is being brought in to restage the show. Elphie will now play the tuba (imagine her up there with it during Defying Gravity) and Madame Morrible will play the cello. The entire thing will take place in Fiyero's head at an asylum. After all, he convinced himself he was a scarecrow.

I think Raven and Miley Cyrus are supposed to switch roles between acts... that way the audience gets the best of both worlds. (Wow... that was lame)

I have had to tolerate Disney for years. Those twins on that horrible show are simply the most annoying of all!
Raven is so funny and talented, I do not know if she can handle E, but she gets my vote!

I don't know why we're all joking about this. Just take the facts that are out there: Carol Channing is going into the show as Elphaba in early 2007 to be joined by Elaine Stritch as Glinda soon after. Enough with the rumors.
