How are $25 seats off to the back sides? Other than the usual far-corner problems, is there anything to note about them view-wise? I'm really wanting to go see Patti in Gypsy (since I may be in Chicago that weekend anyway) and those are the only seats my mother is willing to buy, excepting maybe the lawn.
I don't know for sure b/c I've always been lucky and gotten close but I really don't think that there are too many bad seats in that pavillion and that those should be fine. It's just a staged concert so it's not like there's set peices you'll miss or anything...you should be fine. But if you choose the lawn seats if you find a spot on the side...you can get an incredible view. hope that helps
I sat in between the front and the back, so the middle, when I went to see Sunday in the Park starring Patti. Anyway, the seating isn't raked, so if you have someone tall in fron of you, it can be a problem. Since it is a concert, you really can't miss anything, but it does get really hot, so remember that! Have fun seeing gypsy!
There actually is a slight rake, but look at it this way, for 25 bucks you will have a seat and be able to see the stage. Bring binoculars if you want to see faces, but it's better than the lawn.

Thanks, all.
You say it's a staged concert. I didn't think it was going to be a production (though I wasn't sure), but does that mean they'll be doing the book scenes as well, or will it just be the score?

Ask Dollypop. He'll be at all three performances. And I have no doubt there will be plenty o' back sides involved.

The lawn seats aren't so bad. Granted that area is behind the stage area... but from what previous lawn-ers have told me, you can get up and go stand elsewhere to see the show.
And it's also better back there for those of us going in hopes of actually meeting the actors. :x
