Hello everyone, I heard that some musical is going to be created about Ray Charles, is that true????

Does anybody knows about that?

It will be so amazing if it's not just a rumour..^^!

It's called UNCHAIN MY HEART and it's opening up at the Barrymore in October. Suzan-Lori Parks (TOPDOG/UNDERDOG) is writing the book. Brandon Victor Dixon was announced to play Ray Charles, but I don't know if that's still happening now that SCOTTSBORO BOYS is confirmed to transfer.

Dixon is moving ahead with UNCHAIN MY HEART.

They've already cast his replacement in THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
