It may not be well-known, but an actor properly projecting their voice does "spray" a lot in performance.
These are for fully projected voices without mics, though mic'd actors who are projecting may "spray" as well.
What great stage actor, On or Off Broadway, have you observed to spray up a storm?

I completely disagree. Having seen theatre all my life, that is definitely not the case. Great actors should be able to project and enunciate so well that they in fact don't spray the audience. Spitting is a sign of bad tongue-teeth movements and an excess of saliva.
On with the discussion. :)

Yeah Michael. 
During the Tony performance you could clearly see him spraying his spit all over the stage.

I like your threads, a lot of them are very funny and I like reading them, but your constant asking for more examples is a little annoying. Like I said, I'm not trying to be rude and don't take it personal, it's just an observation that gets a little annoying sometimes.

Pay no attention to what fools some mortals be, unknowledgeable on the spray of the well-trod boards!

Like I said in the other thread, Ben Magnuson is more of a spitter than Cerveris. His spit jumps through the air; I've never known spit was capable of that. It's quite impressive.
John Lithgow was the premiere spitter at DRS.
And Mooney and I got a lovely shower of Michael Arden saliva in DC. That's where we met and bonded
