I watched her with my mom, both of us thought she sounded great. Her voice is amazing, she can really hit those notes!

Okay, it just aired. First of all, just to give you some background, I did not enjoy the show when I saw it. I thought the performers were amazing, but the show itself and the lyrics and book were horrible. That said, I thought Eden's performance on the Today show was very good. I hate the way that song ends though, but that's not her fault. I'm not a singer, so I don't know any of the technical stuff, but she sounded good to me.

I go to school in Oklahoma, and have not had the opportunity (some would say I'm lucky for this) to see Brooklyn. I purchased the Cast Recording (some would say I was foolish) and sat down and listened to it from start to end.
I tried to pay no attention to the naysayers from this forum, and allow my own opinions to form about the show. The performers are great, the material, plot, etc, not so great.
Anyway, to apply this post to this topic, which I realize I have yet to hit, I think Eden is incredible. Considering she has no training, or little training, I think she is amazing. I was only scared about the last note of the song, but considering the time, I was very very impressed.
I know a lot of people compare this show, or the show's music and performers, to American Idol. What I would say in that regard is that on American Idol, as the show progressed each performer had a rather off night, where there voice would crack, or they would have some foul note. Keeping in mind the vocal demands of this role, I am very surprised and pleased the Eden hasn't had any of these problems, at least that I've heard of.
And finally, I've never seen it spoken of here, but how come the end of Once Upon a Time and Defying Gravity (More RIIIIGHT/Me DOOOOWN) are the exact same notes. I feel like the composers said "She's done wicked, we know she can end a song on this note, let's do it!"

I think "ME DOWN" in Defying Gravity is a little bit lower than "more right"...and also, Eden has been working in BKLYN for years. She didnt the Wicked part till after BKLYN was already written. So I think it just happened to be a coinsidence that it's big notes at the end of big songs.
yes.. BKLYN was made a lot before WICKED.
Also, Wicked's final note is lower

Enjoyable performance. Not her best, but good. She blows the roof off when she sings that song in the theatre.
Hearing her singing OUAT live at the plymouth is worth the price of admission for me!
