Munk's is my fav too! Bernadette singing what's the use of Wonderin'.
great guitar accompaniment, and her interpretation is wonderful.
runners up:
Christiane Noll's "Times like This" and "Look at that face"
Streisand's "Lover, come back to me" from "My name is Barbra"
and the Trotter Trio's "Passion" is my favorite of the Sondheim disks.

Love this thread!
Actually I could use some help. There was a lovely, jazzy rendition of "Almost Like Being In Love" that I remember a long time ago hearing on the radio, but can never find the version.
The artist is male, sounds like Michael Frank or Kenny Rankin.

Judy Kaye does a great medley of parade songs on her "Diva By Diva" cd:
-A Parade in Town (from Anyone Can Whistle)
-Before the Parade Passes By (from Hello, Dolly!)
-I'm a Brass Band (from Sweet Charity)
It also has a fun little riff on "76 Trombones" in there...

OMGG (Oh My Good God)
I FOUND IT! Michael Johnson had a top 5 ACC hit in 1978 with a remake of "Almost Like Being In Love", very sweet, jazzy like I remember. Besides a cool rendition, it was the first Broadway song that I could remember being remade and played on the radio and being so popular, and it warmed my young heart!
He's the guy who sang "Bluer than Blue"
