Regional Version of Spring Awakening

Last night I saw the regional version of Spring Awekening at the Fargo Civic Center. What a delight! I have to see Duncan's score is pretty good, but the set is what took the cake. Anyone else have a chance to see it? I think it closes tonight. I am excited to see the company's next regional production, Avenue Q. They are really doing cool stuff up here.

That's what I was wondering. I could see the strict play as is being performed, but the musical version that just opened? Wow!

Uhh... I think that is illegal.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Can you say ILLEGAL? wow. I can't believe people would have the guts to do that.

re: Regional Version of Spring Awakening

This thread seems to me like it was created just to stir up trouble.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: Regional Version of Spring Awakening

Being from North Dakota and having worked with the Fargo Civic Center - I really can't seeing them doing something like that. However, if they did I am extremely disappointed knowing people in Spring Awakening I am so saddened. North Dakota has apparently fallen apart since I left. Let's hope they don't steal Avenue Q too.
