Interesting if it happens - last I heard was the Goodman's Desire Under the Elms was likely to take the Cort. Seems that an existing production would be more likely to happen than one that hasn't been written yet and doesn't have a director, like Accidental Death of An Anarchist ... and to put that together in under two and a half months sounds hasty, if not downright implausible.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Would Carla Gugino, who I hear is absolutely sensational, continue with DESIRE?

For what it's worth, IMO the latter part of the season is getting to be too top-heavy with non-musical offerings. Let's face it, unless some name star is involved or unless the play gets drop-dead great reviews, there just won't be the audience for many of these shows. My concern is that some worthy material will be unjustly ignored and die an early and underserved death at the box office. And I shudder to think what effect this will have on the viability of producing non-musical shows in the future.
