“Side Show,” the Henry Krieger/Bill Russell musical about Siamese twins who became circus stars during the Depression, ran only 91 performances on Broadway in 1997, despite some critical acclaim. Now La Jolla Playhouse in California and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., are producing what they call a “re-imagining” of the show that is scheduled to open on the West Coast in 2013 and on the East Coast in 2014.

Maybe it's too obvious but I think a day(dream) in which Daisy and Violet bisect would add something, not that I'm a fan of the show. The obc recording is great though
henrik, I assume you mean both Daisy and Violet onstage separated, but during "Private Conversation" Daisy is onstage alone with Terry.
Didn't know that. I either forgot or it was a change after I saw it in preview

Side Show is a difficult show because the audience is asked to have empathy for people we're too far removed from.
Are Betsy Wolfe and Erin Davie still attached to this?

As I recall that was taken from a scene from Chained for Life where there is an almost identical dream sequence where we see one of the twins (a double from behind) walking alone up to one of the male characters in the movie, followed by close ups that hide the other twin (who was probably just merely bending over as far as possible to remain out of camera and give the appearance that only the one was there).
