slightly off topic but nevertheless...just read that the RENT cast picked up an ensemble nomination from the Washington area Film Critics...I knew ensemble awards were going to be the way to! I'm pulling for a SAG one...that would rock...although from what I've been hearing the actual award would probably go to Brokeback. People I talked to that saw that movie so far have said it's one of the best movies they've ever seen.

Haha, Em. Me too. When my mom asks me to call places and see how late they're open I make her do it.

It's the bway cast, not the movie! They'll be there sometime between 2-4pm.
[edit] I spoke with a lady earlier today...except she kept putting me on hold after every question I had asked her, so I sort of lost faith. Well they were on the Today Show on Saturday, so I'm not too surpised if they were doing more publicity for the Broadway show.

So I just called the number somebody posted and...
the guy told me that it's not the movie cast, but the show cast. 
He then said that he understands that the people from Broadway are the ones in the movie, so I clarified that they used to be on Broadway but are no longer. I asked if it's the current Broadway cast, and he said yes, but I'm not sure that he fully understood, so still not clear which cast it will be. He said they'll be performing and probably be there in the middle of the day from 2-4.
Do you think the Broadway cast and not the movie cast would do it, or is he just confused? I can try calling again another time and see if I get a different person.
ETA: I guess it's the broadway cast if Marlene says so too. :-/ Sorry to get everyone's hopes up. *is sad* Still yay for Rent though!

i also just called and the woman said she was positive it was the broadway cast and not the movie cast.
she said they would be performing @ madison square garden, but times weren't set yet
