I know this has been beaten to death, but I am going to be attending the midnight show of Rent in NYC on November 22nd. My girlfriend is dressing up as Maureen and I, Mark. I went scouring through my neighbor's basement and found a camera almost identical to Mark's. I have a pair of corduroy pants and I saw this scarf:

(Navy and White) for about $7 in Europe. Has anyone seen anything close to the Mark sweater anywhere online, or do you think I have to make it? If so, besides knittting are there any other ways to make it?
Thanks

Wait a sec. What if one were to get like a white sweater and dye it. I assume that would work as well. You would just need a way to make sure the colors are really dark (maroon) and don't run.

I don't know about the sweater, but I saw a couple of the scarves on E-Bay.

I think I'll dress up as Idina in SWIWS (the first costume). It's about as fitting as people wearing WICKED shirts to SWIWS.
(this was a joke.)
alli, before I read the "joke" part, I was seriously wondering where you expected to find a kimono.
I have my costumes for my movie dates pressed & ready
For opening day of Rent, I will be dressing as Roger DeBris (the Chrysler Building dress), and when I see the Producers, I'm donning my Angel 'santa-drag'

You people who are dressing up realize that you're going to look like freaks, right?

When Phantom came out, did people wear masks? When Hairspray comes out, are people going to wear large wigs?
I don't get it.

I'm going at midnight on the 22nd. I'm going as Maureen. I've already ordered my cat suit. I'm seeing it in San Francisco with a huge group of RENTheads from surrounding areas. Most of whom are dressing up. I'm excited.
