Posted: 2/24/06 at 10:31pmI dont think its bad quality...just really uneven. Like in LVB B, you can hear Maureen's voice stand out a lot more in the song than I remember hearing in theaters....same with Mark in Finale B

Posted: 2/24/06 at 10:33pmI'm thinking the soundtrack is just the way it is. It sounds like it was maybe recorded unevenly. It's not that big a deal--honestly, I didn't even notice it until I saw other people talking about it. I probably never would have if it hadn't been for this thread.

The only sound-related issue I really noticed on my 7.1 system is that the rear surround speakers are mixed quite loudly. It made it nearly impossible to hear anything from the front channels. After some tweaking it was fine, though.
The JLPAF PSA was a much lower quality, video and audio, than anything else, though.

I got mine from amazon, and I'm having problems too.
The sound does subtly go higher and lower every once in a while.
Another thing that started happening halfway through the movie, is that when songs start, closed captioning comes on and I can't turn it off.

The sound fluctuations that I'm noticing are small enough that I'm not even sure I'd notice them if I wasn't 1) listening for them and 2) wearing headphones. I'm betting a lot of the people who are saying there's nothing wrong just haven't observed it yet.
At least on mine, the uneven sound only seems to happen during songs, not during the dialogue portions. Anyone else notice this?

Posted: 2/25/06 at 7:10pmUGH. I just bought it, and it's reached a new damn LOW. Both discs inside are special features. That just pisses me off to the max. This has to be one of the worst DVD's ever made, with all the damn problems. UGH.

^Wow, 2 SF discs? That sucks.
I think it's a great DVD. It's getting better treatment then any flop has any right to get
The sound quality is fine if you have a good sound system. Sounds pretty bad on a regular TV with little speakers and without a surround-sound system.

Posted: 2/25/06 at 9:36pmI just noticed for some reason it only messes up on "Out Tonight". I have surround sound (so don't try and say it's my speakers). The volume randomly changes for some reason. Do think I should try exchanging it?
#35re: Rent DVD-Sound Quality?
Posted: 2/25/06 at 10:29pmIf it bothers you. You may not do any better though. I'd exchange mine, but it's signed.

Posted: 2/25/06 at 10:38pmYou know what, the sound on mine really sucks too. I've only played it on my computer, but nothing else has sound problems.
