In case it hadn't been mentioned on the message boards (joke), Rent is opening shortly at a theatre near you. In celebration, I've put up a playlist on my Internet radio station that is 100% Rent-related. Songs from various versions of the show, interesting cover versions, parodies, other Jonathan Larsen shows (meaning tick tick Boom), and songs from performers who have been in Rent (Idina, Norbert, Adam, Anthony, Jesse, Taye, Daphne, Sherie, Norbert, Matt, Cary, Constantine, Darius, Frenchie, Jai, Gilles, Liz, Manley, Neil). I'll leave it up at least until the end of November, and the link to listen is below.

Can you think of any related songs or performers I may have missed?

There is a help button on the player that might give you an assist. Also, you can go to the main Live365 site and select your default player and change your settings. If you're behind a firewall (like I am at work), you might be out of luck.

The "Heal Me, I'm Heartsick" cut from Adam Pascal made up for the Petula Clark butchering of "Season's of Love" -- at least somewhat. I'll have nightmares for days thanks to Ms. Clark.

Anyway - first time I've heard "Heartsick" complete - just got the snippet from the movie before. Now I might have to go buy that soundtrack.

Okay, again, thanks, but....

maybe you could lose ALL versions of Seasons of Love from your list. The Derry Aires version (who the hell are they, anyway?) rivals the Petula Clark version for the amount of pain produced up and down the spinal cord of a human being.

The real version of the song is already overplayed as it is (oh, c'mon...you KNOW it is).

These covers are just evil.
