Student tickets
Also, if you buy your tickets on Sundays for a show the upcoming week (Mon-Thurs) you can get a discount as well.
And Rent's top price is $90, so technically, you still wouldn't be spending $100 if you paid full price.

re: Rent Ticket Question#5
Posted: 12/11/05 at 6:25pmstudent tickets are $45 and are usually (maybe not at this moment due to hype from the movie) available when the box office opens at 10am. I've bought student tickets that were first and second row front mezz.

Um, I guess. I'm pretty sure it's 50% discount...you can find all the info on http://www.siteforrent.com.
Last time I went, I got student tickets for the 4th row in the orchestra.
ETA: Ew, nevermind, they changed the website to match the icky new posters, and now I can't find the page with it.

and then if the show is sold out there is always Standing Room for $20.

Posted: 12/11/05 at 9:57pmTry for the lottery first but at a weekday and not right now a) b/c of the movie hype and b) it's almost Christmas - tourist season! In January/February it should be reasonably easy to win the lottery... I went in August on a random weekday evening and most of the people who tried got in. Haven't tried since but I could imagine it being more difficult this time of year.
