Oh, it will. People won't be able to get very close, but they'll certainly try.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 7:14pmWhy do people care about this?

Because OMG munkustrap, it's OMG the original cast.
And did I mention? OMG.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 8:03pmYou know what I mean though, Emcee. If anyone is going to have their parents drive them into the city (i have heard this) and hunt down the shooting site, that's just really sad. And by posting the location on this board, what is that going to do? Are people actually going to go down there uninvited and stalk the cast?

Posted: 3/6/05 at 8:09pmi'm sure that they won't let anyone - especially shreiking teenagers - get close to the actual set.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 8:12pmIf they started shooting today, does this mean that Adam probably won't have his hair cut for the movie, and it will be as horrifying as it was at the opening night of DRS?
#12re: Rent filming 3/6-3/8...
Posted: 3/6/05 at 8:19pmI have a feeling it's BECAUSE of the movie that Adam's hair is has horrific as it was at the DRS opening. *fangirl whimper* I'm glad I don't remember the '80s too well.

Posted: 3/6/05 at 8:30pmType_A_TIff- I think you're right about his hair. I also think that, with his hair like that, he looks younger. My mom saw his horrifying hair photo and said that he looked like he was 23.
#16re: Rent filming 3/6-3/8...
Posted: 3/6/05 at 8:40pmThe posts about the hair are so funny. I think hair that long is much more early '80s than late '80s, but I'm not complaining. The current state of the screenplay is what has me most curious.

I'm curious too, Evelyn, but I have a feeling we won't know much more about the script for a while. As for the info at the top of the thread, I don't think they started shooting today, Anthony's date was for Tuesday the 8th. And I have a feeling that those signs might be misleading in other ways too.

They could either be misleading, or they could be shooting JUST exterior shots, without actors for whatever reason.
Oh, and the hair. *snort* At least I can take solace in the fact that movies have hair stylists to help.

I was thinking the same. They could be getting extras and wide set shots and pans. But who knows. I hope it isn't a mad house.
The hair. Oy. 80's? Yes. Attractive? The jury's still out (in hopes hair stylists can, erm, tame it).

Posted: 3/6/05 at 9:26pmI hope so too. He literally looks like he just fell out of bed. And for something to look not-so good on someone who looks brilliant in almost anything... no.
#21re: Rent filming 3/6-3/8...
Posted: 3/6/05 at 9:27pmI would assume (and hope) that they're not only filming exteriors here...hopefully they'll film all the outdoor scenes in New York, instead of on a soundstage in CA. If there's one thing I'm hoping for with this movie, performances aside, I really hope it's raw, gritty, and REALISTIC.

YAY...sadly to say that I am on overload with work these few days.
"i'm sure that they won't let anyone - especially shreiking teenagers - get close to the actual set. "
Haha...okay...I'm not exactly shieking...but there are ways.
AHHHHHH. Okay. This info is making me annoyed that I have stinky responsibilities.

I don't know off hand I've never seen someone actually do that...but yet I've never bothered to hang around very long. Though I question the parents who would actually do that.
The whole being a extra thing...I've actually go around to do it during 1330...but the casting company basically lost interest when I said I was non union for their particular shoot. :/
But on the bright side...they aren't filming during some vacation where teenaged rentheads can storm the area. And if they are smart...they'll film during school hours. So yeeeah.
