Well yeah, we can pretty much assume that those days will be mad chaos. I sure hope they can get some work done on the movie. And I agree Munkustrap, I don't quite get why its such a big deal. I've been to sets before and frankly they arent all that exciting. If you happen to live on the street they are filming on well thats a bit different but I just think its a bit of a waste of time to drive for hours just to try to catch a glimpse of the set. I actually do know someone who wants to fly to NY just to see them film RENT. And I have to say, what a waste of money...

I think that seeing the set WOULD be interesting; I've never been around anything like that. I definetly wouldn't go around and stalk the poor actors and annoy people, but I can understand the draw. I just hope that people don't act stupid about it, though they probably will.

They film movies by my school a lot. It's fun to walk by or look out the window and just get a look at what's going on, but it's absurd when people get really crazy and squealy and bother the actors. They're working, people.

Actually, nia, I have no idea. I remember one with Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Mira Sorvino (sp?) but I have no idea what the name was.

I am not a fan of adam's hair. I love the look he had when the show opened. wonder why they did not opt for that. But hey oh well.

Maybe I'm just dumb, but I'm assuming they'll be doing mostly exterior shots. I'd be surprised if they do any actual character shooting, and if they do, it will be very minimal (maybe a few scenes in the park, or anything that would require a span of the city with the character involved. Everything else can be recreated, and I assume will be, in San Francisco where the primary shooting is taking place.

Regardless, I'm planning on stopping by. Partially because I live a few blocks away and go there regularly anyway, and secondly, I'm curious. Have you ever seen a movie being shot where there WEREN'T any onlookers? Why is it assumed it's going to be complete chaos when there probably won't even be that much to see?

Although I do wish they'd do his hair like they did for the opening of the show, I don't think it matters that much. I mean as long as he can still belt out those songs with that beautiful voice of his thats all that matters.

Maybe he's just growing it out so that the hair stylist has something to work with? Anyway, at least we know it's his hair rather than a bad wig (in which case the film would start receiving bad publicity a la Alexander for Collin Farrell's bad wigs in the trailers).

All hair aside... I will probably shed a few tears in the theater if this film is any good, even during the happier songs. By the time Catherine sang "slick your hair and wear your buckle shoes," my eyes were already watery because I knew then that the movie was going to be so damn good. I hope to have the same experience with this film...
